Our Staff and Surgeons are dedicated to giving you excellent care and support. Here’s what you can expect from your experience with Pacific Laser Eye Center.
When you come for your initial consultation, don’t worry about paying a fee. The consultation process is included in the surgery fee, so there is no charge at this initial visit. The purpose of the visit is two-fold: we want to find out if you are a candidate, and we want to inform you about the process. About 5 to 10% of all the patients we see inquiring about laser vision surgery are not good candidates, so we need to find out about that early in the process.
There is a lot of information available on laser vision surgery. Some of it is valid, and some is extremely inaccurate. We want you to benefit from our many years of experience in the business of doing laser vision surgery. Our focus is to tailor the discussion to your individual situation. We will need to make some measurements of your eyes, but we do not need to dilate your eyes. Our visit does not affect driving or work or any later activities.
You will watch an informational video about laser vision surgery. The purpose of this video is to inform you about our surgery, about how the eye works, and more. The video has a very balanced approach. It is informative, and it may also raise questions you may not have previously considered.
Once we have made the measurements, and you have seen the video, you will see our Clinic Director, Sal Moreno. He will discuss the specifics of your case, and let you know if you are a good candidate. He will also explain the process from that point forward, should you choose to move ahead with surgery.
